Boundaries Are a Form of Care

For a lot of people, the word boundary lands like a threat — as if drawing one means pushing someone away. But a boundary isn’t a wall. It’s more like a doorway with a handle you get to hold.
Clarity Over Distance
A good boundary tells the other person how to stay close to you safely. It replaces resentment, which erodes connection slowly, with honesty, which gives connection a chance to hold.
Practicing Out Loud
We practice the actual words — how to say what you need without apology and without attack. It feels awkward at first. With repetition, it starts to feel like self-respect, and often, like care for the relationship too.
